Says who.....well my boys of course :)

If this doesn't lift a Mom's spirits, I don't know what will. I just wanted to share some of Jesse's journal entries. He has been writing a lot in it lately and sharing it with me. Also, for future use, I have proof that he said what he has said :)

 

This is what Max colored for me for my birthday and cut out little hearts too and

wrote I love you on them.

Entry 1: Translation, "I love you because mom makes good food. I love mom and dad because they are awesome and mom is great and pretty and handsome, like school it is fun."

This one really needs no translation other than the last word is football.

 

 

I love my boys. They can be crazy energetic, but when they are not, they do sweet things.

Now you can see WHY I need to keep these pages for proof, like when they are teenagers....

 

Also I must brag that Jesse has awesome handwriting!

All I want for Christmas is my TWO front Teeth!

Once again, Jesse had another loose tooth. I tried to pull it, but he wasn't having it so we had to wait for Dad to get home. He was at Scout training, hence the shirt.

Family Fun!

Cousins were in town, and we thought it would be a good idea to head over to the coast. We went to Morro Bay. It was nice to be back there. We've been 3 times in the last two years, so we are really getting to know the city, and beach. The weather was just right and the ocean was as cold as it always is. And a added bonus, Damien came along too!! It was soo nice to have us all together having good time. Also gave me an excuse to buy some Salt Water Taffy! Yum!

Hammers and Nails

When I saw that Lowes had a kids workshop to build a firetruck I knew I had to sign the boys up! Usually Saturday mornings we are too busy, too lazy, or uninterested in the craft to go. Well, I signed up weeks early and as luck would have it, that weekend got filled up (well, at least for Dad). I was insisting on going, even if I had to take a bus home (since Dad needed the car). Dad dropped us off, we found the class and it was super full, and loud with all the kids hammering. The instructor said we could take our kits and build at home, and we did! The boys didn't mind, it was too loud for them too! Thanks to my mom for shuttling us home :) The next fun part was the actual build. Since I do not read instructions and maps very well I was worried that I wouldn't be able to help the boys put this seemingly easy firetruck together. It took me a minute to get my momentum....Jesse even used one of his new vocabulary words by saying, "Mom, you are not an 'expert' at this are you...?" No I am not, son....  :)  That's why I married your Dad, and call your Aunts  ;)

Another great time with my boys. Love the smiles and hugs afterwards. I feel like a hero :)
