I saw this comic in the Sunday paper and I really related to every scene, even the part where the husband calls from work. I have a wonderful husband who calls me from work to say "Hi". I really look forward to it. Everyday, in one form or another he tells me I'm beautiful and offers his love and affection. On most days I feel like the woman above in scenes 1-4, what Mom doesn't?!I just really need to work on the last scene where the woman internalizes what her husband says in such a dramatic manner. I know that's probably what my husband sees (or chooses to focus on) when he looks and thinks about me, not the wrinkles, baggy clothes, chubbiness, or no makeup.
He loves me despite my imperfections, and I really need to do the same. I am so blessed!
