I have married an amazing man. It is hard to describe in words what exactly makes him amazing and wonderful, but I could try. As the years of being married go by, and we experience more and more together, we have grown to love each other more. As we go through our day to day responsibilities we learn what the other likes, or how the other will react. That can be fun and it is also nice to have someone who knows you inside and out, calls you on the phone at the right moments just to say hi or reconsiders what they want to do for what you would like to do. Mike actively tries to be better and is discouraged when he misses the mark especially when it relates to his role as a husband and father. (One in our family would probably disagree with Mike's progress over the years), but as one who has counseled with him since our courtship....he has come a lonnnnnggg way. We communicate so much better and his outlook on life has changed dramatically. He is growing to love his boys and watching the progress they are making. He reads to them at bedtime and recently decided they needed to hear the "classics" so he is reading Treasure Island to them. (I think he is more excited than them, but hopefully their interest will peak over time). Most importantly, he is taking initiative as a Father and I am loving that! He loves me for who I am and I learning to trust and internalize that. I am truly blessed. Heavenly Father knew exactly what I needed!
These next two poses were "staged" by Dad. I really liked that. He knew I wanted a Father's Day picture and he went above and beyond the one and took 2 more pictures!
